"Dear Collectors and Friends,

today we want to inform you about a change in our Reservation methods as used before due to the new MTO Pre-Order mechanics as introduced from XM Studios recently. .

The abbreviation MTO stands for "Made to order“ which determines the limitation of any statue at that stage. Therefore our changes are as follows. The usual deposit of 300,00 EUR will be divided from now on into 2 separate payments for a Reservation. Any reservation in our webshop www.xm-studios.shop therefore has to be treated as a firm order which requires a deposit of 10% or up to 150,00 EUR maximum of the SRP of the statue as mentioned in the shop.

Exceptions will be characters marked as "Price on request " which does not show any Suggested retail prices yet and therefore no prepayment is necessary. If for any reason the statue was declined to be made by XM Studios the 10% reservation charges will be paid back to any customer as ordered with us or can be swapped to existing orders which is the customers decision only.

The remaining 20% or a maximum of 300,00 EUR will be charged once the PO for that designated character opened. The due balance of 70% is due if the statue was loaded on the boat and is supposed to leave Asia. Please feel free to write or email us as follows: Office@merchandise-szepan.de. "We have two updates due to Covid-19 that XM Studios is taking to the current situation, Booklets and PreOrder Page.

1. Assembly Video Hulk Transformation, subsequent statues:
Due to the Covid-19 situation, the supply chain for the current Instruction Booklet production is affected. In order not to adversely delay the shipping of our products, XM will temporarily provide alternate instruction information via 'How to' Assembly Videos, as well as the essential 1 page overview of package contents. This means that Hulk Transformation and subsequent products that are shipping after will not come with booklets. XM sincerely apologise for this. They are working on creating assembly videos that will be straightforward and easy to follow so that collectors such as yourself will be able to assemble their statues relatively fuss free. XM will continue to monitor and review the situation. Once again, they apologise for the inconvenience.

2. Shipping dates and PreOrder Page:
Most of you would also have realised that we made some changes to our shipping and PO page. Specifically the shipping portion. Due to the Covid-19 situation, production will be delayed and a lot of the operational impact are still being assessed. As such we are not able to offer accurate shipping schedules for the entire year. But what we will be able to offer are product shipment updates by the quarter. Eg: The details on the current page are products that we are aiming to shipped in the 2nd quarter. These are all subjected to changes but they are the best estimated shipping information we are able to provide at the moment. Once these products are ready to be collected/shipped to you, our sales team will contact you via email.

"Hope you guys are staying safe at home. Singapore is currently on partial lockdown for a month and we are only able to leave the house for essentials reasons. Therefore, the XM Studios team are currently working all from home during this period. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we will be rolling out a new system to help support collectors and to adapt our business to adjust to the current climate. The following updates that we would like to share with you:

1. Final ES announced:
We would like to first update you guys on the final ES for the products that are on MTO basis. Please view the Image above.

2. Pre-Orders on Made To Order (MTO) Basis:
For products that are currently still open for online Pre-Order (PO) with MTO mechanics (Mera - Rebirth, Red Hulk, Lady Death, Thanos), XM will continue to take orders until their designated PO close date. After which the team will release the final Edition Size (ES) for that product and these products will continue to be open for an additional month. This will allow collectors to decide on last-minute orders and have more time to gather the funds or sort our financials to get the product.

A number of collectors have been asking if under the current situation if any of the recently closed PO can be re-opened/extended. As such, we will also be opening online orders for: Batman Rebirth, Deadpool, Harley Samurai for a while more.

3. New System - Fixed ES Mechanics:
You may have noticed that for the past 2 Pre-Orders (Darkseid - Rebirth and Modern Thor) we are releasing a fixed ES instead of the MTO system.

MTO was a system that was implemented in late 2018 and lasted up until March 2020. With the fixed ES system, this is one of the business decisions that the management has taken up to adapt to the current situation, but if it works out well, we will be using it moving forward. The new system means that there will no longer be any 2-month pre-order period. XM has found that the 2 month MTO period delays production time and delivery schedule, as orders are collated after 2 months+. As such, the team has been looking into a new way that can allow for faster production time, meaning collectors can get their products in hand faster. The new system, it will mean that once the team decides on the ES, we can inform the factory and start production while we are collecting orders. Orders will remain live until the allocation is filled. But this works both ways and could also mean that more popular products, could sell out in a shorter timeframe too.

We understand that both systems have pros and cons, but we hope by making this adjustment more collectors will benefit from the process. If you have any input or queries please do not hesitate to ask.
