Again, I'm here to share what I've been up to recently!

I got commissioned to create the alternative ending to the Avengers movie, where Ultron beat the Avengers and held their weapons as trophies in his hand. The customer sent me his SS Ultron on throne statue, and I got to work!

1. First thing to do was to agree on the concept:

The new hand would bend back quite a bit more than the one holding the ant man head, so I would have to create a new one from scratch...

2. Props were to be battle damaged and would be:
- Movie Iron man head with LED eyes
- Movie Warmachine head with LED eyes
- Hawkeye quiver
- Spiderman mask
- Mjolnir

Here are some progress pictures. I used a variety of materials: styrene, epoxy clay, pvc, foamcore board, resin...

3. The new Ultron hand would have to support quite a bit of weight, so I agreed with the customer that we would have to drill a hole into Ultron's arm for a peg like this:



Hence the new hand has a pin sticking out a bit. Here it is painted up to match Ultron's other hand (sorry, I didn't take in progress pics of the hand sculpt)

4. Here are the other props developing and being painted:

And finally...
(I also replaced the resin Antman head antennae with metal ones for durability)

And now...'Bow before Ultron!'







Customer came over to pick up the statue yesterday and is VERY happy!

Super original en effet. Moins fan sur l'effet peinture néanmoins.

mjolnir est sur le bouclier c'est pareil

Non du tout attention, si Mjolnir est posé par terre par exemple n'importe qui peut se déplacer avec si il arrache le morceau de terre sur lequel il est posé.
C'est uniquement Mjolnir que personne ne peut soulever

Custom Bazooka for Sideshow Red Hulk

The latest is a custom addition to the Rulk PF based on an actual WWII US Army M9A1 Bazooka:



1. I did a quick sketch in AutoCAD to make sure of dimensions:



2. And then did a fast 2d print:



This baby was going to be a massive 20 inches long!  

3. Anyway, I got to work scratch building it. I used all kinds of materials - piping, epoxy clay, rigid foam, styrene, acetate, etc being careful to incorporate as many details from the actual bazooka as possible:





4. Then came paintwork, also being particular about matching the actual item. Customer wanted a battle worn/damaged theme.

Paintwork finished!








And with the final application of some choice decals, the prop was complete!
