SIX SCALE
“Ki, ki, ki, ma, ma, ma.”
He still scares us. He still scares a lot of people. To be blunt about it, he scares the person writing this blog enough that he’s avoided horror movies most of his life. There is something visceral about a well-told, visually jarring movie that tends to stay with people for awhile.
Jason Voorhees Sixth Scale Figure
Avert your eyes here and go check out our other blog posts if you’re worried about spoilers. There’s a lovely one about Echo Base.
Right, so – there is something to these movies or there wouldn’t be a dozen of them. As previously mentioned, the author of this blog isn’t into horror. Not one bit. However, careers being what they are there are things we must do so watch it he did.
…he was not prepared to actually cheer for Jason.
Really, he just wasn’t. Or for the fact that Jason wasn’t even really the killer for the first flick. WHAT?! That mind bending revelation firmly planted in place, both the second and third of the series were digested as well – and balance was restored. Here was the killing machine. Here was the nightmare fuel that one comes to expect when thinking of absolutely quintessential slasher films. Here is also where our once sympathetic titular character is finally ensconced in his hockey mask.
That said, we at Sideshow (especially those who aren’t giant scaredy cats) tip our hockey masks to Jason Voorhees and Friday the 13th: Part III for creating such an instantly recognizable representation of fear and horror.
The Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th Pt. III) Sixth Scale Figure will be priced at $209.99, with optional payment plans available. Pre-orders begin Friday, May 13.
