No, this thread is not about the upcoming movie, but the comic event of the 90s, the Age of Apocalypse. I'd be thinking a lot about these characters lately, and seeing Rob's repaint of the Bowen Nightcrawler into AoA Nightcrawler inspired me to post a poll. The Age of Apocalypse got me back into reading comics as a kid, and the character redesigns were visually stunning. I would absolutely love to have these characters as part of my display.
I know Diamond Select produced a few busts a while back, but they only covered a handful of characters and they were based on the 10-year anniversary, not the original story. Magneto, Wolverine/Weapon X, Blink and Sinister are decent, but Jean Grey/Phoenix had an entirely new look from the original, and Psylocke wasn't even a part of the original story.
So, I'm wondering if others are interested in these characters as well. I've posted a poll to gauge interest. I didn't include those characters made by Diamond Select (with the exception of Jean Grey), but I did include Sabretooth and Sunfire, which I know have previously been kits, but those seem to be long out of production. I picked this subset of characters based on my personal preference, but open to suggestions if anyone has a particular passion for others.
Would you be interested in bust kits of the following:
Rogue - married to Magneto and co-leader of the X-Men
Sabretooth - villain turned hero
Wild Child - Sabretooth's faithful and feral sidekick
Morph - the comic relief
Sunfire - one of the more radical redesigns of this alternate universe
Storm - co-leader of the Amazing X-Men
Iceman - much more in command of his powers
Colossus - co-mentor to the next generation of X-Men, not so gentle in this world
Shadowcat - co-mentor to Generation Next, not so gentle either
Nightcrawler - swashbuckler and leader of X-Calibre
Jean Grey - on the run and in love with Weapon X
Cyclops - adopted sun of Sinister and reluctant agent of Apocalypse
Dark Beast - twisted evil scientist
X-Man - clone/son of Cyclops and Jean Grey
Apocalypse - despot of the United States
Holocaust - son of Apocalypse
Abyss - Horseman of Apocalypse
